Root Alcatel One Touch Inspire 2




In this Article I will teach you how to root Alcatel One Touch Inspire 2 5020A/E, also known as Alcatel M'pop.


First things first, back up everything before rooting

I do not take care of responsibilities if whatever happens to your phone
root at your own risk.

Files you need to download:
One Touch upgrade s 2.8.0
Alcatel ADB Driver
SP Flash Tool
VCOM Driver
MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc
Clockworkmod recovery/CWM recovery
Root Inspire2


Flashing CWM recovery
1.Extract all rar files using winrar or 7zip.
2.Install One touch upgrade, ADB driver and VCOM driver in your computer or laptop.
3.In your phone, enable USB debbuging mode. Setting>about phone>advance settings.



















4.Turn off the phone. Then open the Flash_Tool.exe in your computer


5.After opening the flash tool and click Scatter-loading then locate the file MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
6.Check the box named RECOVERY and click the high-lightened recovery in the image below and navigate the CWM_Recovery_OT5020.img and click it, open it.

 7. Click the download button on Flash tool. *Download warning* Just click yes.
   8. After clicking yes IMMEDIATELY connect your phone into your computer using USB cable. 
  9. A red bar and yellow bar will flash below, wait it till finished downloading


10. If everything passes without errors, unplug the phone, reinsert battery and boot to recovery by pressing power + volume up.
11. You should boot in CWM recovery. choose reboot your phone and press power key.

Rooting phone
1. Turn on your phone and copy the root-inspire-2.zip to your sdcard.
2. After copying, select unmount and go back, then unplug your phone.
3. Turn off your phone and boot to recovery by pressing power+volume up
4. You can navigate recovery power button-choose, volume down button-down, volume up button-up. Select install zip from sdcard>choose zip from sdcard>root-inspire-2.zip and select yes - Install root-inspire-2.zip
5.It will flash the app to the system including all needed binaries.
6.Reboot the phone and wait. It will boot normally and no data will be lost. You will see superuser app in your app drawer. You are now rooted!
